Just spent the morning helping to hand the Port Community
Arts Centre's SALA Festival (South Australian Living Artists) Exhibition entitled SALA'd Days and it is looking great. Our Chairman and Secretary are still at it adding the finishing touches and the independent guest judges will arrive tomorrow to decide on the winners. I've got two lino prints entered instead of the usual watercolours and I'm hoping they will attract some intereset. The opening is this Saturday, 18th August and Peter Jamieson, Councillor for the Outer Harbour Ward of Port Adelaide Enfield Council will be opening it at 2.00pm. There are well over 100 entries that I know of including paintings, 3D works and some installations. Looks like it is going to be a great success, so hopefully the horrid chilly weather won't keep visitors away. For those who missed my earlier post, the location is: The Black Diamond Gallery, 66 Commercial Road, Port Adelaide. South Australia. It is situated right next to the Tourist Information Centre and the exhibition closes on September 2nd. Gallery hours each day are 11.00 to 4.00. Look forward to seeing you there and if you are looking for something to hang on your wall, dare I mention that there's a couple of nice prints for sale, hem hem. Cheers.
